KCG Chair
PANCY PONG
Pancy Pong is an active volunteer in her community and is now standing as the Chair of Kinsland Community Garden.
She has been contributing for seven years by volunteering with the Air Cadet Sponsoring Committee, Pancy has developed strong leadership and fundraising skills.
Professionally Pancy has been committed to different types of design work both interior and exterior and overall project management.
Outside of work, she enjoys unwinding in her home garden and spending time outdoors. Along with the other team members Pancy is excited to be part of a community garden and eager to start.
Vice-Chair
COOPER TRIGGS
Cooper Triggs is currently the standing vice-chair for Kinsland Community Garden.
With a BAHons in Environmental Studies and Geography from Wilfrid Laurier University as well as a postgraduate diploma in Environmental Management from UofT, he is well versed in sustainable practices and theories.
Cooper believes that to have a good balance in his life being outdoors is necessary, hiking and backcountry camping are his escapes from city life. He is eager for spring 2024 to come around so he cancontribute to the team’s vision of a successful community garden.
Fundraising Coordinator
SARAH O’NEILL
Sarah O'Neill is a Fundraising Coordinator for the Kinsland Community Garden.
She brings a fundraising foundation through her summer student role at Routes Connecting Communities.
She is also a Community Social Services BASc student at the University of Guelph-Humber, an avid volunteer for the York Region Food Network, and the Communications Director for the Nobleton-King City Garden Club.
Sarah looks forward to the team's vision for the Community Garden coming to fruition this spring
Committee Members Needed
Time commitment to be approximately 3-5 hours per week with a monthly meeting for each committee member. Take a look at the KCG Constitution here to give a clear idea of what being a committee member would entail.
Garden Coordinator
A Garden Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the overall garden responsibilities
Condition of plots.
Shared tools.
Tool library and storage.
Monthly or weekly clean-up organization.
Working and assigning jobs for volunteers.
Events Coordinator
The Events Coordinator for KCG will be responsible for creating a plan of the year’s events, both desired and booked. There will be opportunities to lead the organization of events from educational workshops and garden visits.
Secretary & Membership Coordinator
The Secretary & Membership Coordinator for KCG will be responsible for:
Facilitate meetings.
Administer and maintain the membership list.
Works with Garden Coordinator for plot assignment and procedure.
